puppy1.png In your search for a veterinary facility, we believe you should expect high quality care as well as great service.  Our goal has been to assemble a veterinary health care team committed to providing exceptional client service and veterinary health care in Roswell, Georgia.  Our commitment to you is to continue to offer our world class service in a state of the art veterinary facility with an unmatched level of compassion and competency.

Your pet's annual check-up with our veterinarian, Dr. Marcus Smith, will include a complete physical exam, from nose to tail.  Following the exam, it will be an open forum for you to discuss with Dr. Smith any concerns that you may have or questions about diet, preventatives such as flea and heartworm preventative, or anything else that may concern your beloved companion. During a illness visit, Dr. Smith will examine your pet and discuss multiple diagnostic options to help uncover the cause for your pets illness and then treatment options to get your pet back on their feet(paws).

Cat Friendly Environment

Chattahoochee Animal Clinic proudly maintains a cat friendly environment for all of our feline patients. We have an exam room dedicated to only cats. Our goal is to create a comfortable environment for both our feline friends and pet parents. We have furnished the room with a cat tree and have multiple areas for the cats to hide while they wait to be seen. This will help them relax and create a more enjoyable experience for everyone. Our staff is skilled at handling cats and ensuring that their veterinary care is a positive experience. We have ample amounts of kitty treats available, so they will be spoiled while visiting. Vaccination Policy

Following are the Chattahoochee Animal Clinic Rabies Vaccination Policy guidelines for April 1, 2024:

*By law veterinarians in the state of Georgia are legally required to vaccinate all domestic

cats and dogs against Rabies.

* All patients will be kept up to date on Rabies vaccination unless medically contraindicated, in which case a medical Rabies waiver will need to be completed.

* Contraindications include but are not limited to:

- Patients with immunocompromise disease processes or severe allergic reaction to past Rabies vaccination

- All patients due or overdue for Rabies will be brought up to date on their vaccine unless SERIOUS illness warrants against it.
If this is the case the patient should be scheduled to be brought back for a recheck and be vaccinated at that time.
* All surgical and dental patients MUST be up to date on Rabies unless a medical Rabies
waiver has been completed OR it is an emergency surgery.
* All patients brought in for technician visits for nail trims, Cytopoint injections, ear cleanings, vaccination boosters MUST be up to date on             Rabies unless a medical Rabies waiver was completed.
* If client refuses to vaccinate their pet(s) the client accepts the following risks and protocols:
o A patient cannot receive outpatient care of a nonemergent nature.
o A patient will not be permitted to board, be dropped off for veterinary services, or receive grooming services
o Georgia law requires all domestic cats and dogs to be vaccinated for rabies and legal ramifications may be encountered should your pet bite        or scratch a person
o Rabies waivers MUST be accompanied by a physical exam and completed annually.
o Rabies Blood Titers:
- Rabies titers do not imply immunity for the future year.
- Healthcare authorities view adequate titers as proper protection for the patient on that date that the blood has been drawn and only that day.
- Titers will not legally protect the pet or client should the pet bite or scratch another individual or other domestic animal.
