Chattahoochee animal clinic monthly specials

Hello CAC family. It has been a while since our last posting! I wanted to give everyone a quick update on the clinic, community, and some spring pitfalls for our pets here in Roswell, Georgia. So, lets get started!! First, we have had some new faces join our CAC medical team. Our core medical team is still here and stronger than ever. I always have the expectation to provide high level veterinary medical care for our Roswell families and with the addition of several very experienced and passionate members, we will be able to accomplish this goal. When your dog or cat enters our facility, you can expect that they will be treated as one of our family members and that all of your medical needs will be met. So, please welcome Agnes, Jaime, Angelina, and Alexa!

As part of our clinic’s mission, we remain very active in the community. Giving back to our Roswell and Alpharetta community is one of the joys I have in owning a small business. We have been able to give back to multiple schools, dog and cat rescues, and various organizations. As a team, we are very passionate about having a positive impact in not only the animal side of the world, but also in the human side of the world. Now wait…we are a veterinary hospital and we take care of animals, right? Well, as an active member in our Roswell community, we also want to stay vested in our animal counterparts...Every pet has a phenomenal pet parent and they are part of the pet care equation. Coming up in March is one of our big events that we take part in as a sponsor called Shamrockin for a Cure. This is a benefit event for cystic fibrosis and was started right here in Roswell. We have set up a ticket station in our lobby to help make this awesome event a success. This is just one example of how we think a business in the Roswell and Alpharetta area should serve our community.

Spring is right around the corner, which means two very inevitable things…bugs and allergies. We will dive into what to do this allergy season for your pet and your pet’s environment in a future blog.  However, let us make sure you have some basics covered before the spring season hits our beloved Roswell and Alpharetta pets. First, make sure you are stocked up on flea and heartworm preventatives. This season the fleas and mosquitos are going to be rough…thank you warm winter. We recommend Heartgard and Nexgard as your dog’s defense against fleas, ticks, heartworms, and parasites. Make sure to treat your yard for insects in April. This will put you ahead of the curve of the emerging pesky bugs. Big tip number two…if you dog or cat suffers from seasonal allergies year after year, please contact our animal hospital and be proactive before the season hits. Our veterinarians will put together a plan to help prevent severe allergy ailments from taking grip on your dog’s or cat’s skin.  –Dr. Marcus Smith
